School Projects

These projects were completed at Hampshire College (2013-2017) under the guidance of Ira Fay and Rob Daviau during their "Intro to Game Design", "Tabletop Game Design", and "Narrative in Tabletop" courses.

Kalyra - Fantasy Tabletop RPG/Strategy

Kalyra is a tabletop game where you take on the role of adventurers exploring a harsh and monster-filled world in a quest for treasure and glory. It was created as a capstone project for my final year at Hampshire College and it served as a culmination of my studies and my Game & Character Design major. As a solo project, I was in charge of everything from the initial design documentation to the art and multiple prototypes of the game itself.- Design Documentation

Interloper - Sci-Fi Horror/Strategy

Interloper is an asymmetrical PvP board game created to evoke the suspense and action of Sci-Fi movies like Alien and The Thing, as well as TV series like Firefly. Players are members of a spaceship crew attempting to survive the attacks of a "Cosmic Interloper" controlled by another player. Every game is different thanks to the "Alien Traits" deck, which creates a different monster for players to contend against every time they play. I worked alongside three other designers to create design documentation and prototypes for the game over a single semester while running playtests with various groups of students at Hampshire College.- Design Documentation

Shipped Projects

Ara: History Untold - 4x Grand Strategy

In Ara: History Untold players shape their very own civilization, fostering a nation through its infancy in ancient times to the great technological age of the future. As a Game Designer for the project, I focused on narrative design and content creation while also providing design documentation for a few key systems. In addition to writing nearly 300+ quests for the game I also wrote a large part of its "Encarta", a encyclopedia for players that provides both historic information and gameplay information.- Quest Design & Implementation

Word Snack HD - Word-Forming Puzzle

Word Snack HD features a collection of colorful characters all looking for a bite to eat...But their favorite food is words! Created by a team of 34 students and faculty at Hampshire College, Word Snack was the product of 4 months of hard work led by Executive Producer Ira Fay. I was responsible for designing the general systems of the game alongside two other game designers, as well as compiling and editing the game's repository of valid words. I also acted as a liason between the artists, the design team, and their respective producers to ensure weekly deadlines were being consistently met.- Design Documentation
